The Meinl Sonic Energy WD18WB 18-inch Wave Drum creates soothing, ocean-like sounds that recreate the natural movement of waves and surf. By holding the drum horizontally and gently tilting it from side to side, the internal steel balls move across the drumhead to produce flowing textures ideal for meditation, yoga, sound therapy, relaxation, and creative percussion effects.

Constructed with a Siam Oak frame in a Walnut Brown finish, the WD18WB features two different playing surfaces: a hand-selected goat skin head and a synthetic head. Each surface provides a different timbre, expanding the instrument's sonic possibilities. A sealable filling port also allows you to adjust the amount of steel balls inside the drum, giving you additional control over its response and sound.
